Do Not Hide Your Face from Me
1-11, A Prayer of One Afflicted 12-17, Yahweh Enthroned Forever 18-22, Written for a Future Generation 23-28, Cut Off and Everlasting
(102:1) Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry come to you! (102:12) But You, O LORD, shall endure forever, and the remembrance of Your name to all generations.
Christ’s unchanging nature (Hebrews 1:10–12). Psalm 102 is structured in four parts: a prayer of the afflicted (1-11), acknowledgment of Yahweh's eternal reign and mercy (12-17), a description of future deliverance (18-22), and a contrast between the psalmist's brief life and God's everlasting nature (23-28). The psalm may exhibit a chiastic structure in its themes.
