Notes

Psalm 32 expresses the joy of forgiveness and the relief from guilt. It begins by declaring the blessedness of the forgiven (32:1–2) and recounts David's suffering under conviction (32:3–4), leading to his confession (32:5). He encourages prayer to Yahweh, who provides refuge (32:6–7), and instructs others to avoid stubbornness (32:8–9). The psalm concludes with a contrast between the suffering of the wicked and the joy of the righteous (32:10–11).
