The LORD Reigns
1-2, The LORD Reigns and the Earth, and His Throne, Are Established 3-4, The LORD is Greater than the Waters 5, The LORD's Truth and Holiness
(93:1) The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength.
Psalm 93 begins with the Lord’s majesty (93:1), moves to the established character of the world and God’s throne (93:2), and considers the mighty roaring of the waters (93:3–4), before concluding with God’s trustworthy testimonies and holy house (93:5). One literary device that marks the psalm is anadiplosis, the repetition of key phrases, seen throughout.
