A Prayer for Mercy
1-3, How Long until My Enemies Get What They Deserve? 4-5, Turn and Give Me Your Lovingkindness So I Can Thank You. 6-7, My Enemies Cause Me Much Vexation and Weeping. 8-10, Depart Evildoers Because Yahweh Hears Me and Will Punish You.
(6:4-5) Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; in the grave who will give You thanks? (6:1) O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.
